Waldshut-Tiengen (dpa/lsw) – After a rockfall on the Wehratalstraße in the Waldshut district, the country road is expected to remain closed for further clearing work until mid-October. Experts from the State Office for Geology, Raw Materials and Mining had discovered other rocks at risk of falling in the area, the Waldshut District Office announced on Thursday. These rocks would now have to be taken out and discarded. The work is expected to last until October 15, and nature conservation issues would also have to be clarified. The rockfall occurred on September 23 north of the Wehrastau reservoir.
