Darmstadt (dpa/lhe) – In the process of the insolvent gold dealer PIM, the public prosecutor’s office is expected this Wednesday (1 p.m.) before the Darmstadt Regional Court. She accuses the 51-year-old former managing director of the company from Heusenstamm in southern Hesse of serious fraud.
According to the plans of the presiding judge, Felix Diefenbacher, the verdict in the proceedings, which have been running for two years, is to be pronounced before Christmas. The process began on December 8, 2020.
PIM Gold GmbH is said to have concluded supply contracts with customers from 2016 to September 2019, including promises of bonuses for gold, but then failed to fulfill them. Interest is said to have been paid out with the money of newly recruited customers according to a kind of pyramid scheme. The ex-managing director has been in custody for more than three years.
