Hesse: police operation: man shoots with a blank gun

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – A man shot in Frankfurt with a pistol, triggering a police operation. While fleeing from the officers, he slipped on the icy sidewalk, the police said on Tuesday. He allowed himself to be arrested without resistance. Earlier on Monday evening, a couple saw the 27-year-old firing several shots on the street and then going into a drinking hall – the two informed the police. The officers surrounded the drinking hall, the man hid the gun in a bush and tried to escape without success.
