Fulda (dpa / lhe) – A former headmaster from East Hesse has to go to court because of the multiple serious sexual abuse of children. The indictment against the 47-year-old had been admitted, the district court in Fulda said on Monday. The crimes are said to have spanned the period from 1998 to 2021. The Attorney General’s Office accuses the former head of a primary school of abusing children 64 times, in 35 cases he is said to have violated young people. He is also said to have possessed and distributed abuse images. According to the court, the former teacher has been in custody since the beginning of January.
The process is scheduled to begin on February 8, so far almost 40 days of negotiations have been scheduled until the end of May. The court pointed out that because of the protection of the victims, who are still minors, the public could be excluded from long stretches of the process.
