Meppen (dpa/lhe) – SV Wehen Wiesbaden celebrated a 3-0 (2-0) win at SV Meppen at the start of the 15th matchday of the 3rd soccer league. Thanks to the eighth win of the season, the Hessians improved to third place in the table at least overnight with 27 points. Ivan Prtajin with a brace in the 5th and 87th minute and John Iredale (11th) scored the goals for coach Markus Kauczinski’s team.
The early double strike played into the hands of the Hessians. First Prtajin headed in from a free-kick cross from Brooklyn Ezeh, then Iredale followed up from close range. As a result, Meppen came into play better and had a few opportunities that remained unused. In the closing stages, Prtajin made everything clear with his eighth goal of the season.
