Malsfeld (dpa / lhe) – A truck driver died in a traffic accident on Autobahn 7 in northern Hesse. For previously unknown reasons, the 51-year-old drove into another truck near Malsfeld (Schwalm-Eder-Kreis) on Monday evening, which was significantly slower, the police said on Tuesday. The 51-year-old was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. Damage of around 100,000 euros was caused to the tractor-trailer and the trailer of the truck driving in front. Due to the salvage work, the A7 northbound between the Homberg/Efze and Malsfeld junctions is expected to remain closed until Tuesday morning.
