Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – A 250-kilogram World War II bomb was discovered during construction work in Wiesbaden. She was found on Thursday in the suburb of Kastel, as the city announced. The site where the bomb from World War II was found has been cordoned off. The defusing was planned for Thursday evening, for which a radius of around 500 meters should be evacuated. About 2,500 residents were affected.

As the city announced in the early evening, the residents of the areas affected by the evacuation must have left their homes by 7:30 p.m. Collective accommodation was set up in one school for all those who could not stay with relatives or friends.
