A group of German tourists, including Janis Danner, an influencer who has 1.5 million followers on Instagram, has been recorded destroying a statue of Enrico Butti in a town in Italy.

The damage to the 1.70 meter high piece amounts to 200,000 euros and its destruction has shocked the inhabitants of the town, for which it was very important.

The Germans were staying at Villa Alceo, an establishment from the Upper Varesotto period, on the border with Switzerland, which is often attended by celebrities from the world of entertainment, politics and music.

The influencer was recording a video of his friends hugging the statue when one of them lost his balance and grabbed onto it to avoid falling, breaking it into several pieces.

“We are very impressed. We have spent years hosting international figures from the world of music and culture, diplomatic delegations and even ministers. Obviously not everyone is respectful of art,” explained one of the administrators of the villa who has already presented a complaint for damages to the group.
