dr Bob, outhouse and finally Australia again: The 16th season of “I’m a star – get me out of here!” comes up with a lot of the tried and tested. But there is also news – and that doesn’t just mean moderator Jan Köppen. The start date of the show in early 2023 has now been set.
We are sure: The cockroaches are already scratching their hooves. And not only her. After all, “I’m a star – get me out of here” finally returns to Australia in 2023 after a total failure due to corona and a year in exile in South Africa. Twelve daring celebrities then plunge Down Under into what is perhaps the greatest adventure of their lives, as RTL has already announced.
It’s just not clear who the brave twelve are. As usual, there has been a lot of speculation in the past few weeks, but the official confirmation from the participants is still a long way off.
RTL has now announced the start date of the 16th jungle camp season. It starts on Friday, January 13th at 9:30 p.m. on RTL (also available on RTL). According to the motto “exams, bunks, outhouse,” fans of the show can look forward to a lot of tried and tested things, including, of course, audience favorite Dr. Bob. But there are also some innovations to help the successful format at the old place of work to new splendor.
First and foremost is the moderator Jan Köppen. He replaces Daniel Hartwich, who has given up his job as a blasphemer alongside Sonja Zietlow for family reasons. The 39-year-old makes no secret of the fact that he has a lot of respect for the new task: “It’s an incredibly successful, well-made show. You don’t want to come in and destroy everything.” Oh, it’s going to go wrong. After all, Köppen has proven time and time again in the past that he has no lack of quick-wittedness – for example in shows like “Ninja Warrior Germany” or “Take Me Out”.
Also new is that this time there is even an extra portion of jungle. In 2023, one more live show is planned than in previous years. The jungle queen or the jungle king will therefore not be chosen on Saturday, but only on Sunday, January 29th. “I’m a star – get me out of here! The big reunion” will then be celebrated on Monday, January 30th in the tree house.
If that’s not enough for you, you can look forward to “The Hour After” with Angela Finger-Erben and Olivia Jones in 2023. The unequal duo then welcomes former candidates, real or self-proclaimed experts, relatives and prominent fans for more or less cultivated talk. So the full jungle boom – it starts in less than a month!
