Rostock (dpa/mv) – Soccer professional Lukas Scherff from the second division club FC Hansa Rostock has to undergo an operation on Friday. The left-back is complaining of knee pain, possibly due to a slightly damaged meniscus, the club announced on Wednesday. How long the 26-year-old will be out is uncertain.
Maurice Litka has already been operated on. The 26-year-old striker has not returned to training after tearing his cruciate ligament two years ago. During an arthroscopy last week in Munich, cartilage smoothing and cartilage freshening were carried out, FC Hansa informed. In mid-January, further treatment and rehabilitation measures are to be discussed after renewed examinations.
