Two songs from “11:11” can already be heard, but fans of Cro can already look forward to the whole album. The record is said to be his “favorite album” – not only because the rapper has the title as a tattoo, but also announces a “new beginning”.
Rapper Cro has announced a new record: “11:11” will be released on August 12 – making it his second album in less than a year and a half. “My new album is called ’11:11′ and it means a lot to me. It’s beautiful, it’s my favorite album actually,” the rapper said in a statement. It goes well with summer and you can dance and party to it. “It’s very vibey, very wavey. There’s a lot of love in it.”
With “High” featuring Claudia Valentina, the singer will release another single as a foretaste next Friday. After “Crobot” and “Freiheit” it is already the third from the album.
According to the announcement, the number “1” stands for a new beginning. “As a starting point for new cycles and relationships. To others, to oneself, to the whole. Antennas on reception. Block out the constant noise. Also between people.” In an Instagram clip, Cro, whose real name is Carlo Waibel, shows that he even had the 11 tattooed on his feet as two meaningful digits.
Cro’s fourth record “trip” was released on April 9, 2021. The double album, which he produced almost entirely on his own during lockdown in Bali, combines tracks from an almost two-year creative phase into one complete work. His fans had to wait a long time for an album. The preceding named “tru.” he published in 2017.
The musician is currently on a European tour. The “Trip Is (A)Live 2022” tour started on April 22nd in Ludwigsburg. Then it should go on to Nuremberg, Dortmund, Hanover, Berlin, Cologne, Zurich, Munich, Vienna and Graz, among other places. The last concert is scheduled for August 26th in Heidenheim.
