While the communication between her parents Iris and Peter Klein seems to be stuck at the moment, daughter Daniela Katzenberger speaks up. She describes the emotions of the past few weeks and why she “would rather cut off her tongue” than give advice to her mother.
The marriage drama of her mother and stepfather also burdens reality star Daniela Katzenberger. “It was really hell. It was really, really bad,” explains the “cat” in an Instagram story about Iris and Peter Klein’s marriage drama. But how does she deal with it?
“At some point I was at a point where I said to myself: No, now I’ve had enough, now I’ll stay out of it. I’m at a point where I don’t want to read anything anymore.” She also didn’t want to hear anything anymore, only used Instagram a little. “Because I just felt like I was suffocating, it’s eating me up.” Instead, she preferred to get into the bathtub and “sweat all my emotions out of it”.
And those were just the emotions that came up in relation to the situation of her parents: Katzenberger’s mother Iris Klein recently publicly claimed that her husband had cheated on her with Yvonne Woelke when he was in Australia as a jungle camp companion for Lucas Cordalis. Cordalis is Katzenberger’s husband. “I lost my trust, caught him lying far too often,” says Iris Klein. The communication between her and husband Peter is currently taking place partly in public, but also partly behind closed doors, such as at the recent marriage summit in a hotel. Only a little got out. Daniela Katzenberger wants to stay out of it as much as possible, despite the emotionally difficult situation for her.
“You have to be careful, especially with your own family, with your own parents in this case. You have to be careful not to let yourself be torn down,” said the 36-year-old. “And that sounds really mean. But, honestly, I can’t make their marital problems my problems. These are grown people and I don’t know myself what exactly was there and I don’t want to judge anyone or anything, but I just want to stay out of it because I’m actually always the one with a cool, level head.”
She also utters a wisdom that is in no way inferior to the sayings often shared by Iris and Peter Klein: “Too many cooks spoil the broth, and in that case the marriage.”
“I also said to my mother, I’m always there, but I’m not a marriage counselor.” Katzenberger explains that she will not give her any tips or tell her what to do. “She’s old enough. I mean, she’s 55. She knows what she’s doing.” Since marriage tips, if they don’t work, can backfire, the “cat” even explains: “I’d rather cut off my tongue than give any marriage tips.”
In her story, she quickly switches to other topics in her life. Otherwise, “everything is as usual,” said Katzenberger. “Lucas is back too. And he’s lost eight kilos. Hey, he looks… The worst thing isn’t that he’s lost eight kilos, but that next to me I look like a rhino, like a hippopotamus .” It’s a topic that the TV starlet seems to amuse rather than burden: “The narrower it is, the fatter I look next to it.”
Katzenberger had also reported in the case of Klein from her adopted home of Mallorca. “Here in Mallorca, spring has really broken out. We were also on the beach earlier (…) Wow, that’s so beautiful, that feels so good.” She “soaked it up like a sponge”. She shared several shots from the beach, mind you still heavily clothed, but also one from the bathroom after sweating out the emotions.
