Internal information kept leaking to the public during Donald Trump’s tenure. However, Jared Kushner’s cancer diagnosis remained secret. Now the ex-president’s son-in-law has written a book in which he describes his memories of the time in the White House. Kushner received the cancer diagnosis in 2019. He is said to have been informed about the disease by Trump’s personal physician Sean Conley on a flight in the presidential plane.
The test results called for immediate intervention. Kushner underwent surgery before Thanksgiving Day in November 2019. While the public was unaware of the diagnosis, Donald Trump already knew, writes Kushner. “The day before the procedure, Trump called me into the Oval Office and asked his team to close the door. ‘Are you nervous about the treatment?’ he asked.”
Kushner then asked, according to his own statements, how Trump knew about the diagnosis. He replied, “I am the President. I know everything. ”Nevertheless, the president is said to have been considerate of his son-in-law. “It will be alright. Don’t worry about work. We have everything under control here,” the head of state is said to have said.
The quotes are from Kushner’s memoirs. The 41-year-old was Trump’s “Senior Advisor” and is considered one of the architects of Israel’s rapprochement with various Arab states initiated by the Trump administration.
