Rostock/Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) – Two track and field athletes from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania belong to the 79-strong contingent of the German Track and Field Association for the World Championships in Eugene (USA) from July 15th to 24th. Tom Gröschel from TC Fiko Rostock represents the DLV in the marathon competition. Claudine Vita from SC Neubrandenburg, ninth at the Tokyo Olympics, is fighting for a medal in the discus throw.
