Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Doctors in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are demanding inflation compensation in the payment of medical and psychotherapeutic services. The Extended Evaluation Committee only increased the nationwide so-called orientation point value by two percent, criticized the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians MV on Monday. “With this decision, the current cost increases, which include almost all areas of everyday practice, are completely ignored.”
While extensive support is being discussed nationwide for hospitals, large and medium-sized companies, the practices of general practitioners and specialists as well as psychotherapists are left to their own devices. The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians warned that without compensation for the rising costs of energy, personnel, IT, services and benefits in kind, the practices would “inevitably” have to reduce their range of services. The consequences are increasing waiting times, limited consultation hours and even complete practice closures.
