Stralsund (dpa / mv) – In Stralsund, an 84-year-old woman who was traveling with a walker was hit and seriously injured. As a police spokesman said on Thursday, a driver probably overlooked the elderly woman while reversing the car on the sidewalk on Wednesday and knocked her over.
The 34-year-old had parked his car on the sidewalk to unload objects and then load the vehicle again. Parking on the sidewalk is only allowed in the rarest of cases – the police could not say exactly whether it was allowed at this point. When the driver wanted to discard to drive off, the collision occurred at the rear. The 84-year-old came to a clinic with multiple fractures. The police are investigating on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
