Plau (dpa/mv) – Thieves in Plau am See (Ludwigslust-Parchim) demolished a food vending machine for a pack of chicken eggs – and still couldn’t beat the eggs into the pan. As a police spokesman said on Wednesday, the device in a farm shop was broken into on Wednesday night. This resulted in total damage of several thousand euros to the machine. The thieves only took out one pack of eggs – there was also grilled meat in it. The eggs were found nearby because the perpetrators had apparently dropped them, which the eggs didn’t survive. The machine’s owner was alerted via an alarm app, found the remains just after midnight, and called the police.
