Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Telephone fraudsters stole 200,000 euros from a senior citizen from Stuttgart. They pretended to be police officers and warned the 84-year-old of an alleged foreign gang of thieves, the police said on Wednesday. She then took the money from her account on Monday and handed it over to the scammers. When the woman wanted to withdraw another 150,000 euros the next day, a bank employee became skeptical and called the police.
