Kiel/Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The Regional Directorate North of the Federal Employment Agency will publish the labor market report for November on Wednesday (10 a.m.). Labor market experts expect an increase in unemployment both compared to last year and compared to the previous month.
In October, as part of an autumn revival weakened by the energy crisis, the unemployment figures in the north-east fell in a monthly comparison, but there were more unemployed in a year-on-year comparison than in 2021. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 58,300 people were registered as unemployed, 700 fewer than in September, but 3,700 more than in October 2021. The unemployment rate was 7.2 percent.
