Redefin (dpa/mv) – The traditional state stud Redefin (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) wants to attract more visitors and has therefore brought its horse days forward this year. Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the show events in the classical, park-like complex this weekend and the weekend after. “We hope to be able to welcome summer vacationers to the state stud,” said Agriculture Minister Till Backhaus (SPD), who is responsible for the state stud, on Friday. Visitors, especially children and young people, are given the opportunity to get close to the horses.
The Redefin State Stud, established 200 years ago, breeds stallions and is active in riding training. The listed complex is also the scene of cultural events, such as concerts at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival.
