Greifswald (dpa / mv) – After a robbery on a man on Sunday in Greifswald, the police caught two suspects. Arrest warrants have now been issued against the two 24-year-old men for extortion, a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday. According to previous investigations, the suspects threatened and attacked a 23-year-old man with a 40-centimeter knife on Sunday morning because they wanted to take his mobile phone and cash.
After the attacked man was injured in the face, he handed over his mobile phone and cash. The perpetrators fled. A witness saw the two nearby, called the police and followed the duo. Officers arrested the suspects, one of whom was under the influence of drugs. The district court issued arrest warrants for the men on Monday.
