Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Because of the energy crisis and inflation, around 4,500 people came together in Schwerin on Monday evening to protest, according to the police. This was announced by a police spokesman in the evening when asked. Posters and statements were directed against the sanctions imposed against Russia because of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, as well as against the federal government’s policy, which it describes as “red-green ideology”. The protest was also directed against the Corona measures. According to the observations of a dpa reporter, it was mainly older people who demonstrated. Young people and families with children were only occasionally present.
