Brussels (dpa/mv) – On the second day of their talks in Brussels, Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) and Europe Minister Bettina Martin (SPD) will meet the Vice President of the EU Commission, Frans Timmermans, on Wednesday. Among other things, it should be about the energy transition, because Timmermans is the EU Commissioner for Climate Protection.
Cross-border cooperation in the Baltic Sea region is the subject of a meeting with members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development. A conversation with the only MEP from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the Green politician Niklas Nienaß, is also planned. On Tuesday, Schwesig and Martin had already met EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
