Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The “Entrepreneur Revolt MV” initiative called for nationwide motorcades against energy policy on Thursday. According to the police, in Rostock, Schwerin, Stralsund and Greifswald, among other places, the vehicle convoys gradually started moving from 4 p.m. According to initial counts, over 100 vehicles gathered in Rostock and around 150 in Güstrow. The authorities expect temporary traffic delays in the country because of the elevators in the course of the evening.
On the website of the organizers – in addition to lower energy costs – among other things, an end to the sanctions against Russia, a stop to arms deliveries to Ukraine and new elections. The demands are justified, among other things, with fear of existence and a lack of hearing from business associations and politicians.
According to the umbrella organization of business associations UVMV in the northeast, the initiative is not officially supported by any of the member associations. According to a spokesman, this does not mean that no entrepreneurs are involved. According to police information, the applicants are in many places congruent with the organizers of the rallies that have been taking place on Monday for a few weeks, including in the state capital, who are also opposed to state and federal energy policy.
