Schwerin (dpa / mv) – The volleyball players of SSC Palmberg Schwerin want to say goodbye to their fans from 2022 with a success. The task against USC Münster on Tuesday evening (5.30 p.m.) will not be easy. “Münster managed to keep the squad fairly consistent. The results speak for themselves,” said coach Felix Koslowski about the guests. Both teams have won six of their eight games so far. However, the third-placed Mecklenburg women have two points more than fifth-placed Münster.

In view of the tight schedule, Koslowski had ordered his team back to training on the afternoon of Christmas Day. Because after the duel against USC on December 30th (5.30 p.m.) the end-of-year game at the current leaders SC Potsdam is coming up.

“We once suggested to the league not to play a game between Christmas and New Year,” said Koslowski, referring to the program. “The reaction from the league was that we’re playing two games now. That’s exactly my humour,” he joked, but conceded: “We’re all professionals and we know it’s part of the business.” He also referred to the interest of the fans in these last days of the year. “These games are extremely popular.”
