Penzlin (dpa / mv) – A fire in two warehouses in Penzlin (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district) caused damage of around two million euros. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a hall measuring approximately 30 by 30 meters caught fire on Friday evening on a company premises, according to the police. In addition to a stacking machine – a so-called telescopic loader – there was also an unknown amount of wood chips. From there, the flames then spread to a machine hall connected to the building. According to the police, the second hall contained control technology and machines for generating bioenergy.
