Greifswald (dpa / mv) – Roland Vrabec will be the new coach of Greifswalder FC in the Northeast Regional Football League. As the club announced on Thursday, the 48-year-old will succeed Roland Kroos (63). The father of world champion Toni Kroos and his brother Felix will stop after the current season. Vrabec, who had coached FC St. Pauli and FSV Frankfurt in Germany, most recently worked in Esbjerg in Denmark. In Greifswald he signed a contract until June 30, 2025.
The official presentation of the new coach should take place after the end of the season. In the table of the Regionalliga Nordost, the Greifswalders currently occupy eleventh place. The away game at third-placed Chemnitzer FC is on the program on Sunday.
