Two professors admitted to having sprinkled Jean Michel Blanquer’s with whipped cream while campaigning in Montargis for the legislative election on Saturday. They explained Monday that they didn’t premeditated and denounced on Twitter a National Education “in free fall”.

Jean-Michel Blanquer was in a market campaigning when whipped cream was placed in his face. He filed a complaint.

On their Twitter account “ProfsChantillyonneurs” which they created on Sunday, Christophe and Olivier, two teachers of technology and plastic arts in REP college, explain their gesture at length in a schoolboy video entitled “Blanquer mousse-Montargis-Chantilly gate”.

Christophe said, “We were going on the market and it was strawberry season,” but denied any premeditated desire or intent to attack candidate Blanquer.
