At half past eleven in the morning, Pedro Campos’ car crossed the breakwater of the port of Sanxenxo (Pontevedra) with Don Juan Carlos as co-driver. Felipe VI’s father returned to embark on the Bribón 11 months later, to train for the Volvo Autesa Cup Regatta, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

With much less expectation than last year, Don Juan Carlos has arrived in the car to the boarding area. There, he has had a conversation with several friends, who did not belong to the Yacht Club and who have fulfilled the promise of discretion, without wanting to make assessments after how they have seen the Emeritus.

After about ten minutes of talk, Don Juan Carlos has descended the steep stairs that led him to the Bribón. Below, part of the team was waiting for him, with whom he has photographed and seemed to comment on the state of the boat, set up last week for the regattas. Don Juan Carlos has accessed the deck with the help of two security members and has sat in the captain’s position, to direct the rod.

Dressed in a cap and the team’s polo shirt, the father of Felipe VI has gone sailing a few minutes before twelve in the morning. At that moment, about twenty residents stationed on the breakwater cheered and applauded the Emeritus King, who very discreetly raised his hand to greet, but clearly with the purpose of not generating headlines.

Along with the King, five members of his team are on board, including Pedro Campos, who is going to follow the regatta from another boat today.
