Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – Last year, 14 people were deported from North Rhine-Westphalia for security reasons. That was a third fewer than in the previous year, when 21 extremists were deported. The state government announced this in response to an AfD request.

Seven of the deportees were classified as extremist threats, another seven were classified as so-called relevant persons.

At the end of 2022, the security authorities in NRW classified 221 people as dangerous and 242 as relevant persons. The total number remained practically unchanged compared to the previous year’s reporting date.
