Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – In North Rhine-Westphalia, around 110,900 people died in the first six months of the current year. That is 1,300 or 1.1 percent more deaths than in the first half of 2021, as the State Statistical Office announced in Düsseldorf on Tuesday. In June alone, on the other hand, there was a drop of almost one percent to 16,800 deaths compared to the same month last year. The evaluation only includes deaths of people who died in NRW and were also reported there.
