Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) – Between January 2020 and mid-July 2022, 694 politically motivated crimes against Jews were registered in North Rhine-Westphalia. Jewish institutions were attacked 30 times. In the vast majority of cases, the crimes were attributed to the right-wing scene, according to a report by the Ministry of the Interior to the state parliament.
According to the ministry’s response to a small inquiry from the AfD parliamentary group, many cases involved incitement to hatred, damage to property or the use of license plates from unconstitutional organizations.
