Bochum/Herne (dpa/lnw) – Because of a damaged bridge, journeys on regional train 46 in the Ruhr area were canceled on Monday evening. The damage to the bridge between Herne-Rottbruch and Bochum-Riemke still needs to be checked, said a railway spokesman. Trains would stop at the stations and wait there.
An emergency bus service had been ordered, said the railway spokesman. It was initially unclear how long it would be before trains could cross the bridge again. The RB 46 connects Gelsenkirchen and Bochum, according to the railway spokesman, both directions are equally affected.
