Barntrup (dpa / lnw) – In a traffic accident on federal highway 1 near Barntrup (Lippe district), three people, including a one-year-old child, were seriously injured. A 21-year-old driver came off the road with her car in a left turn on Sunday evening, according to the Lippe police. The car collided with a delineator, a traffic sign and a fence. The car then rolled onto its side and hit a tree with the roof of the vehicle. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services. She was flown to the hospital in a rescue helicopter. The 26-year-old passenger and a one-year-old boy were also seriously injured and taken to hospital.
