Bergkamen (dpa / lnw) – After a cigarette machine was blown up in Bergkamen (Unna district), the police caught two suspects. The two 25 and 35-year-old men were arrested shortly after the crime as part of a manhunt, the investigators said late Friday evening. The machine was completely destroyed by the explosion, individual parts were lying on the sidewalk and street. According to the police, the perpetrators stole money and cigarettes.
Accordingly, a witness heard a loud bang on Friday night and observed two men tampering with the cigarette machine. He dialed 911 and spoke to the men, after which the two fled and were caught by the police shortly thereafter. During a search of the suspects’ homes, narcotics and utensils typical of detonating cigarette machines were discovered. Due to a lack of grounds for detention, the men are free again.
