Hilden (dpa / lnw) – An unknown duo stole a large amount of money from the pocket of a 32-year-old man in Hilden (Mettmann district). The man from Mettmann had previously withdrawn the cash from a bank branch in Hilden on Wednesday morning, the police said. The 32-year-old put the banknotes in an envelope, which he stowed in his pocket in front of the bank.

At that point, he noticed a man and a woman to his left and right. Then the man motioned for the woman to follow him and the duo walked away. A few minutes later, the 32-year-old noticed the envelope was missing and called the police, they said. An immediate close-range search has therefore so far been unsuccessful. The police is now looking for witnesses.
