Griesheim (dpa / lhe) – A young lifesaver was honored by the police in Darmstadt during a ceremony. The 14-year-old pulled an unconscious child out of the water at the Griesheim outdoor pool in June, the police said on Wednesday. He noticed the motionless body of the five-year-old. When he pushed him and there was no reaction, he pulled the child out of the water, put him in the recovery position and called for help. The child could be saved. At the ceremony on Tuesday, the youth was thanked for his “courageous and courageous reaction” according to the police, and he also received a gift.
