Kreuzau (dpa / lnw) – Firefighters in Kreuzau in the Düren district freed a worker who was trapped in soil up to his chest. According to the information, an edge was broken off during excavation work on Wednesday. A worker was trapped by earth, but was still able to speak. “The rescue was time-consuming because the soil had to be removed by hand,” the emergency services reported on Thursday. The worker was finally freed around two and a half hours after the alarm was raised.
