Pulheim (dpa / lnw) – On Monday evening, two horses were hit and killed by a regional express on a railway line between Cologne and Pulheim. As the Pulheim fire brigade announced on Tuesday, the train came to a standstill a few hundred meters after the collision. About 100 passengers were unharmed. The railway line was temporarily closed in both directions. The passengers were taken back to Cologne-Ehrenfeld station, from where the train had come. A fire department spokesman said it was unclear how the horses got from their pasture to the railway site.
