Iserlohn (dpa / lnw) – The Iserlohn Roosters from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) have signed another striker. As the club announced on Thursday, the 27-year-old attacker Émile Poirier is moving to the Seilersee with immediate effect. The Canadian was last under contract with Laval Rocket in the North American professional league AHL and will probably be on the ice for the Roosters for the first time in the home game against Ingolstadt on Tuesday.

The breakthrough in the NHL did not succeed for the 1.90 meter tall Poirier. In the underclass AHL, he scored 146 points in 300 games. Poirier has played in Kosenice, Slovenia, as well as in Riga and Stockholm for the past two seasons
