Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – For the new NRW Transport Minister Oliver Krischer from the Greens, the expansion of the infrastructure for cycling and public transport has priority. That was clearly laid down in the coalition agreement of the new state government made up of the CDU and the Greens, Krischer said on Thursday on WDR 5. “And of course the work of the Minister of Transport will concentrate primarily here,” he said.

The state road requirement plan would have to be revised anyway. “Of course we will look at every project,” said the Minister of Transport. There are many projects “that are right and necessary”, for example where bypasses are necessary. But of course there are limited resources.

In the cabinet of Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU), the Green politician has taken over the Ministry of Transport, Environment and Nature Conservation.
