Münster (dpa / lnw) – In the future, most people will have to pay three euros for a corona test in a test station – at eight locations in Münster, everyone should be able to continue to be tested free of charge in the coming month. “In July we will waive our own contribution of three euros in order to continue to give all citizens the opportunity to behave as responsibly as possible during the current summer wave,” said a spokeswoman for the operator on Wednesday.
Tests to protect risk groups such as residents and visitors to nursing homes remain free of charge – for everyone else, a co-payment of three euros is planned from Thursday onwards. So far, this group has made up around 60 percent of those tested in the eight test centers in Münster, the spokeswoman said.
So far, tests have been billed for 11.50 euros, with a portion going to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. For tests by people who now have to contribute 3 euros, you can probably only bill 6.50 euros in the future. In addition, the operators actually have to pay their own share of 3 euros – but this is to be waived in Münster.
The number of tests is declining anyway, the spokeswoman said – and it is assumed that it will continue to decrease.
