Bonn (dpa / lnw) – A planned bicycle purchase in Bonn ended for a family man and his two sons (11, 15) on Christmas Day with a robbery. The 37-year-old drove with his sons from the Lower Rhine to Bonn on Sunday evening to meet with a private bicycle provider, the police reported on Monday. As agreed, he drove his car into a parking garage. There he was suddenly threatened by a man with a knife and asked to hand over his money. An accomplice is said to have been armed with a hammer. After the 37-year-old had issued several hundred euros, the two men ran away. Nobody got hurt. The two perpetrators were able to escape undetected. A helicopter was also used in the large-scale manhunt.
