Mülsen (dpa/sn) – In order to avoid being checked by the police, a 40-year-old man tried to flee from the officers on Monday night in Mülsen (Zwickau district). The subsequent chase drove across several streets, the police said on Monday. However, the driver then lost control of his vehicle, drove through a fence and collided with a traffic sign and a concrete post. It turned out that the man did not have a valid driver’s license and was under the influence of drugs, it said. The officers also found a small amount of narcotics on him and his 45-year-old passenger. During the chase, the man was slightly injured and caused property damage of 10,500 euros.
