Bochum (dpa / lnw) – Four months after violent clashes surrounding a football game in Bochum, the police searched six objects belonging to suspects from the hooligan scene. The actions on Tuesday took place in Bochum, but also in Gelsenkirchen and Castrop-Rauxel, as the police and public prosecutor reported. Six suspects between the ages of 19 and 40 were targeted by the investigators.

On July 23, in connection with the game between SC Preussen Münster and SG Wattenscheid 09 in Bochum, “a planned violent conflict within the hooligan scene” broke out. During the search, officers seized weapons and drugs, among other things. The authorities emphasized that acts of violence, damage to property and other crimes related to sport would not be tolerated.
