Kleve (dpa / lnw) – A serious accident on the Autobahn 57 near Kleve on Christmas Eve is probably due to driving the wrong way. A 59-year-old woman is said to have approached a 61-year-old with her car in the wrong direction, the police said on Monday based on the results of the investigation. The exact circumstances of the accident were therefore still unclear. The two cars collided head-on. Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals. The accident happened in the evening between the Goch and Kleve junctions in the direction of Nijmegen. According to the information, both parties involved are from the Netherlands.
