Bad Lauchstädt (dpa/sa) – Three police officers were injured during a night-time disturbance in Bad Lauchstädt (Saalekreis). They were called around 2 a.m. on Monday because there was a loud party in a backyard, a police spokesman in Halle said. A 52-year-old suddenly attacked the officers, punching and kicking around. The police used pepper spray, took the man to the ground and tied him up. Two officers were slightly injured, it was said. Another had to be treated for a hand injury in a hospital. The celebration was broken up.

The 52-year-old is now being investigated for assaulting law enforcement officials and insulting him.
