Cologne (dpa / lnw) – A 24-year-old man was arrested at Cologne Central Station on suspicion of forced prostitution. When federal police officers checked a 22-year-old woman from Cologne and a 24-year-old she knew from Königswinter because of a dispute, the woman stated that he had forced him into prostitution. Since the facts could not be clarified on Thursday night, the federal police took both of them to the office, according to information from Friday.
The man kept threatening the woman. The woman seemed scared and said that the 24-year-old had touched her against her will in the train station and was forcing her into prostitution. She said he was initially charming but then pressured her into offering sexual services on an internet site. She had to give up the income. Chat histories would have substantiated the accusation, according to the federal police.
A personal check revealed that the suspect had already been sentenced to imprisonment by the Trier Regional Court in 2018 for forced prostitution. In consultation with the Cologne state police, he was arrested and criminal proceedings were initiated on suspicion of forced prostitution. His three smartphones were confiscated.
