Zülpich (dpa / lnw) – With a great deal of luck, a driver in Zülpich (Euskirchen district) survived a collision with several fences. The 21-year-old had lost control of his vehicle, probably due to excessive speed, as the police in Euskirchen announced on Tuesday. The car successively collided with a delineator and a metal fence, broke through a wooden fence, skidded across a meadow, broke through the opposite side of the fence and only then stopped. A wooden post had broken through the windshield and was stuck in it – just two to four inches from the driver’s head. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
