The quality of operations at the nuclear power plant of Golfech (Tarn-et-Garonne) has been further “deteriorated” in 2019, announced on Monday that the nuclear safety Authority (ASN), calling it “very bad” its assessment on the general functioning of the site.

“The ASN is vigilant about what is currently happening to Golfech. It considers that the performance of nuclear safety must be a top priority for the operator, and in this capacity, she ensures a close monitoring of the site by the year 2020”, said at a video conference press Bertrand Frémaux, the division of Bordeaux from the ASN. He pointed to a deterioration in the surveillance control room, and defects in the respect of the rules in the control reactors.
